Ideally, I am hopeful that it will provide a place where Missouri trout fisherman can freely come to post results and get feedback from others on the various rivers and springs around the state - what is working, what is not and any other miscellaneous information that out-of-towners may not be privy to.
The fishing opens around 6 or 6:30 each day throughout most of the summer months but changes as the seasons progress. A loud horn goes off each morning indicating to all the fisherman lining the shores that the day is open for fishing.

It is important to be prepared with rod and reel in hand and ready to be cast right at the opening bell as the fishing will never be better. More times than not, your first few casts of the day will be as active as any you'll have all day. Having your line set up and ready to go and being out on the river for the opening bell are two keys to getting your trout fishing experience off on the right foot.
